He is described as being six foot tall, weighing 225 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

On May 24, 2017, family of David Gerardo Avalos (27) filed a report with the Brownsville Police Department in which they reported that they have not seen or heard from Avalos since 05/23/2018. They reported that Avalos left the residence located on 2700 block of Paredes Line Rd. on foot at or about 10:30 p.m. on 05/23/2018 and was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with grey sweat pants and gray tennis shoes."
