The vehicle the shooter drove was spotted on the neighbors video driving by Liz’s house a few hours earlier. Before she left for her morning coffee at Starbucks.I just began to read about this case for the first time this week. LB went to get coffee at Starbucks before setting up the garage sale. Is it possible that LB cut someone off during her trip back from the Starbucks and this person followed her back to her residence to harm her? Did the investigation look into the possibility of this being a road rage incident?

FBI, Texas Rangers join investigation into Tomball woman killed while setting up for garage sale
State and federal agencies have now been added to help solve Elizabeth Barraza’s murder case.www.click2houston.com
We can only hope. This case makes me insane. How can there still be no justice for Liz yet??
I so hope LE has more than they're saying. Maybe they just don't have enough to pin it on the responsible party.
Yes! Someone wanted Luz dead, that’s for sure. How many people have gun shots fired into their workplace? Add to that a burglary. I, too, find it awfully coincidental.I know other posters have touched on this before, but I really can't shake the feeling that one of the keys to this investigation is the source of the gunshot previously fired into Liz's workplace and the burglary that occurred at her and SB's old residence. They could be unrelated to one another and unrelated to the murder, but to me it seems like someone was stalking or trying to intimidate Liz for quite some time. The big question of course is why?
Sorry if this is redundant, but where do you recall hearing about this prior workplace incident/burgulary? I hadn't heard that before and would like to look into it.I know other posters have touched on this before, but I really can't shake the feeling that one of the keys to this investigation is the source of the gunshot previously fired into Liz's workplace and the burglary that occurred at her and SB's old residence. Not redundant....at all, a good refresher. I think most of us need one after 6 long years of waiting on justice.Sorry if this is redundant, but where do you recall hearing about this prior workplace incident/burgulary? I hadn't heard that before and would like to look into it
I agree that someone was intent to kill EB specifically that morning.Yes! Someone wanted Luz dead, that’s for sure. How many people have gun shots fired into their workplace? Add to that a burglary. I, too, find it awfully coincidental.
I read the first paragraph of your post and imediately gave all four episodes a listen. I agree, they are worth listening to. One detail I had never heard was the last texts between Bob and Liz that you mentioned. That part stood out to me as well. The details are crushing and I feel so badly for him. However, I think there is a good chance she was being sarcastic in her reply. If so, I hope ,and believe that Bob would have picked up on it. Nevertheless, he is a brave man to retell that story.I just stumbled upon this 4-episode podcast from February called "Unknown Reasons: The Life and Death of Liz Barraza," produced by Tomball High School's Cougar Claw newspaper, Liz's alma mater.
I hope everyone has access to Spotify. It’s a great listen. Some of the volume is a little wonky so Turn it Up.
Bob and Rosemary Nuelle discuss Liz's childhood, her phases: tom boy, goth, punk. Her hobbies: reading, their shared love of music.
A friend is also interviewed, recalling the day she got the news/call from Sergio, not comprehending the gravity of Liz's injuries. Racing to the hospital.
This really got to me, the last text Mr. Nuelle received from Liz regarding the garage sale and how it took months for him to reread it and for her final words to sink in. Absolutely heartbreaking for him to carry that weight.
How and where her ashes were spread.
Grab your Kleenex…but there are some funny stories too.

I don't feel as though this is a case of LE ineptitude. There have been two different lead detectives on this case. Both have favorable reputations and above average solve rates. More recently, the Texas Rangers and FBI have also assisted in the investigation. I realize none of this guarantees a perfect investigation, but on paper, it suggests a strong one.DTPete, thanks for the helpful reminders on this case. I hadn't realized that the burglary had happened quite a ways in the past.
I really have a hard time understanding this case. Is it a case of LE not having a clue? Or is it a case of LE knowing who did this, but cannot get the evidence to make an arrest (and get a conviction)?
Thanks for the approval from our fabulous mod Silly Billy!Hi everyone,
DTPeke has asked for approval for a YouTube video called True Crime Unsolved, where the hosts, Myles and Sean, interview Liz's parents.
Approval is given on a 1-time thread specific basis (so not blanket approval at this time).
"it's ok dad just remember, I’m going to be there all by my lonesome"I read the first paragraph of your post and imediately gave all four episodes a listen. I agree, they are worth listening to. Listening to all the interviews given by Bob and Rosemary over the years, it's clear as to why those that knew liz always talk about her kindness, generosity, and the positive impact she had on their lives.
I already mentioned Bob's bravery but it extends to Liz's mom as well. Six years on, and they are still fighting to keep Liz's name relevant. I hope that one day soon, they will get the answers they seek. They deserve it.
