6:30pm to 6:39pm (unless this is a typo) means she would have had to have gotten a ride from someone going from Gulf Station to Hitch’n’Post. IIRC that’s about a 5-7 mile distance between the two. A lot longer than a 9 minute walk. I know there was a blue Chevy involved at some point, but I’m pretty sure that was how she was dropped at the Gulf Station to begin with. So, after leaving the gas station, how’d she get to the Hitch’n’Post so quickly? Someone who happened to give her a ride (in the wrong direction, if the prison was her destination), then failed to come forward after she was found murdered?

Again, it will likely do nothing to aid in her identification, but now I’m curious about the timeline. Maybe I can find a detailed, lengthy one amongst these threads.

Yes I recall reading that she walked between Gulf Station and the Hitch’n’Post and it is thought to have taken her over an hour and witnesses claim they saw someone matching her description between the points during that time.

She definitely looks like a young kid and it is unsurprising that the waitress wasn't fooled. I have a lady friend with a voice that stayed high. When she's ordered takeaway delivery over the phone, she's sometimes asked to go and get Mummy.

I think I saw that on a blog once, but they zoomed in/cropped it? The angle was different, so perhaps a different image in same series. This really gives a different perspective, IMO.

I've seen the side view of this picture but not a frontal.

Maybe it's just the lighting in the picture but it almost looks like she has a very small indention at the bottom of her chin.

I can really see a resemblance there to Melinda Creech, who I know must have been ruled out on DNA (?),BUT makes me think WCJD really must have been more like 14-ish. :(

Melinda would be identifiable by the mole on her left eyebrow and the previous fracture of her arm. But they do resemble.

I'm sure she's been ruled out (can't find the rule out list right now) but Lisa White is still missing. She was 13 in 1974 when she went missing. Lisa White had really good teeth (so did Jane) and Lisa had a small pockmark above her right eye. Jane had a scar above or near her right eye. According to the Charley Project: "Lisa left a note for her mother saying she was in love with an older boy and "you think I'm a little girl, but I'm not." According to her sister, she associated with older boys and some men. The police initially believed she'd run away from home, but foul play is now suspected in her case.

This one is a strong possibility I think.

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Per NamUs Lisa had blue eyes and Jane had hazel or brown. Not an automatic disqualifier but makes the possibility less likely IMO. Also, in 1980 Lisa would have been 19 and Jane has been said to be 14-16 based upon examination of her bones.

They are still estimating that WCJD could have been anywhere from 12-20. I have hazel eyes. Depending on the day and my mood and what I'm wearing they appear green and or blue at times. I think that this girl should at least be looked at. There are A LOT of similarities, as have been with others but I think it's worth WCSO looking into at a very minimum.

Before discussing this further we really need to find the rule out list.....grrrr...can't find it either.....you forgot to put in a link for Lisa, so here it is. Lisa Joy White – The Charley Project

She really does look a lot like the pm pic, especially round the eyebrows

I have had trouble logging into Namus lately, but for what it is worth, the Wikipedia page for WCJD has a list of ruleouts. I'm not sure how often it is updated, but assume it is at least somewhat accurate given how passionate people can be about Wikis and how many people follow this case.

Lisa is not among those listed.

Here are some images next to one another for comparison. It seems to me Lisa would have been considered already, given the comments I have read stating pretty emphatically that WCJD is "not in a database" , but who knows? Things certainly happen, and if the eye color or age was slightly off? Maybe?

* I feel as though Lisa's face is more oval, but it may also be the angle and image. I also think WCJD has a slight upturn to the tip of her nose, that I do not see on Lisa. The cheekbones seem a bit off to me too? Although WCJD was so traumatized.... :(
