@txcoastgirl it’s a male tribal thing to take souvenir of deceased humans and animals. Thats why you see deer antlers and stuffed animals in the home of some men or the skulls Aztec warriors would collect of their enemies.

Here are some deep facts I have gathered about this Doe.

1. She was between 5'2-5'3 and she weighed 108 pounds.
2. She was more than likely born between 1964-1966
3. The Police neither confirm or deny they have the killers DNA, which usually means that they do have it.
4. The necklace found on her that hasnt been seen since her murder was probably taken by a police officer or investigator as a souvenir (not uncommon)
5. Just because no one in the prison said the recognized doesnt mean they are telling the truth, especially if they were showing them the postmortem photos.

This could be one of those fake "facts" that accumulate with a case, but my understanding is that she was believed to have been raped by an object, at least partially due to the lack of semen at the scene. If there was a bite mark, it could have been swabbed for saliva, but I'm not sure how common that sort of thing would have been in 1980.

She had raped in multiple orifices with a blunt object. She had not been raped by a genital. I think that conclusion had to have had other sources rather than just the lack of semen. :(

I assume they did not collect saliva from the bite mark, but they did study the dentals from the bite mark which they compared to Henry Lee Lucas.

It’s possible she had some of the killers DNA under her fingernails if she fought back and scratched him or her (some people still think it might have been a female killer).

I hope DNA Doe Project will take on this one.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but didn't see anything on it. I find it really interesting that she was visiting Ellis Unit on Halloween at the same time Ronald Clark O'Bryan (The Candy Man, The Man Who Killed Halloween) was there for murdering his son - who was possibly the same age as WCJD. I wonder if she knew The Candy Man or the son personally. Maybe went to school or church with them.

She is one of three does I still wanna see identified. The other two being Beth Doe and Princess Doe. I remember I was actually on websleuth when word came that the Sumter County Does had been identified. It felt like I had just won $100. Hope I get to experience the same feeling with her.

I know. I am particularly interested in this one because I have ties to the area and each time I go to my friends ranch, I exit where she was found. As I exit I always look at the location where she was found and wonder who killed her, why and who in the heck was this little girl???

For me its the photo of “Kathleen” thats associated with this case. She looks similar to a girl who I had a huge crush on. So to see that then the postmortem photos really hits hard for me.

It’s been mentioned multiple times in this thread that DDP haven’t taken it on because another organisation is working her case

Yes, but nobody knows who, which is why people question it all the time.

I just asked Carl and he said that he is unaware of any DNA organization working on her case.

Hello guys,

I remember that a girl that appeared on a still from Rebekah House, singing on a chorus was ruled out.

I enhanced the photo and apparently she has one incisor longer than the other.

Bringing this forward - I can’t find the comment on the DDP Facebook page but it seems that already tried.

Months ago Margaret Press of DNA Doe Project responded to someone on the DDP facebook page who asked if they could take on WCJD & she responded that "someone else is working her case."

So it's not DDP and it doesn't seem to be Barbara Rae-Venter because Carl Koppelman asked her in a facebook group if she was working on her case, among others, and WCJD was not one of the cases she listed. So could be another group or genealogist.

I just asked Carl and he said that he is unaware of any DNA organization working on her case.

That girl looked IDENTICAL to WCJD. Apparently that girl was too short to plausibly be WCJD but I still have a hard time believing it's not her.

I also had that thought, I’m unsure if WCJD had a large incisor.
