For those earlier in the thread who are frustrated at the old records and newspaper reports not being digitised and online... newer is not always better. For example with papers rather than a memory stick, you don't have to worry about being hacked.

Lol good point ...... :D

Lost a hard drive last year ...... without a backup ... unfortunate and frustrating situation lesson learned thou .. have a backup for the backup now. Lightning will not strike twice.

Awesome job in sending the links to the reunion class.

I was just reading about Samuel Little and thought immediately of WCJD.

He Says He Got Away With 90 Murders. Now He’s Confessing to Them All.
I decided to do that too yesterday. I can't find anything saying he was known to be in Texas in 1980 but he was in Louisiana around that time so its not that big of a stretch. There is a link between him and a Jane Doe in Houston. Houston and Huntsville aren't all that far apart and its on the way if you are going up to Dallas or Oklahoma.

EDIT
Anyone else find it disturbing how many serial killers were tied to the area that the time?

It close to Corpus which is pretty big. People have probably heard of it but you would probably have to say its close to Corpus Christi for them to picture the area its in. More people would know Aransas Pass/Port Aransas than Rockport. That maybe why she said both Rockport and Aransas Pass. There are also smaller communities that no one would know unless they were very familiar with the place.

Looks like the population of Aransas Pass around 1980 was about 7,000. If that gives you a little bit of an idea. Known mostly for fishing/tourist area now probably but at the time more industrial activity I believe.

I waa thinking last night, I'd never even heard of Aransas Pass until WCJD. Is that a popular place? Would she even know of it if she hadn't been there at some point? I havent noted the population or if its tourist town or not so idk.
I can say that as someone that lives in Texas I didn't know about Aransas pass until the hurricane a few years ago. Corpus, Galveston, and South Padre are pretty well known but Aransas is not as well known to folks living in Dallas or farther away.

I thought the same...described his murders being a former boxer..."would beat the victim unconscious then strangle them"
I read that too. And I just .

I feel like that guy is about to take everyone on a wild ride. He said he can draw his victims. 30 some cases already verified. Is there a thread on him?

I live in Corpus and I work in Port A and on North Padre a bit. We have a big population of "winter Texans," particularly from the midwest, so I think it is know somewhat outside of the area. Aransas Pass, Port A, and Rockport were nearly destroyed by Harvey so they got national media attention.

Aransas Pass area is apparently big with birders, according to a friend of mine who is a birder. He and his wife spent an entire two-week vacation viewing whooping cranes last winter. Don't know if that was a thing in 1981 though.

I was reading one but it was only about 3 or 4 pages so far. I think this guy is going to be a kind of Henry Lee Lucas. Confessing to every murder they ask him about.

There was a big storm down there some time around 1980 wasn't there?

Are you thinking of Camille around 1971?
Not sure but I remember reading about a bad hurricane going through there prior to her discovery. I was wondering if maybe she was displaced by that storm but would still tell people she was from there.

I've started doing non-DNA genealogy. I started creating family trees, and WCJD is going to be the first one. I use their physical characteristics to create 3D images of their parents through these "equations," and add them to the tree.

Also, this tree is meant to build up what the family possibly looked like. This is also helpful to see if someone recognizes them. This can also bring traces even to historic times.

To furthermore understand it, there are multiple variations of AaBb, AAbb, etc. These genes determine eye color

Does that mean you have access to her DNA profile?
