Just passing thru and saw this case, looked into it a little and found this:

http://www.missingkids.com/missingk...eNum=U9105002&orgPrefix=TXCH&searchLang=en_US

Very interesting and similar, both missing around Halloween, one year apart, same age, size and looks

The Huntsville girl was killed by a right handed man who bit her as she was being strangled from behind using panty hose

The girl would have had to been in the Aransas Pass/Rockport area at some time just to know the names of the towns

Likely would have gotten ride with someone that killed her, hit her from left side with right fist in front seat of car, took her somewhere to abuse her, then dropped her north of town, likely headed north towards Dallas

Doubt the killer was Lucas

Sounds like you're familiar with the area and the murders around that time. The girls are similar in many ways. Have you been to the Texas killing Field and I -45 forum? Its a subforum of the Serial Killers forum. You might be very helpful there and find it interesting. It is always good to have a new set of eyes and other people's thoughts.

If you have time check it out. It has the murder victims, missing, and Unidentified victims as well as the known killers and suspects. A lot of information.

I received an e-mail this morning from a Journalist from KRIS-TV/KZTV Action 10 News in Corpus Christi. She had seen the flyer that I had created with my e-mail address on it, and she wanted to talk with me regarding this case.

They intend to run a TV news segment on this case to be shown in the Corpus Christi area.

I spoke with her on the telephone, and I told her about the efforts that we had made on this thread to try to identify this Jane Doe. I also e-mailed back to her copies of my images, as well as the three postmortem photos.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with on their news segment, and if it leads to anything.

:crossfingers: Crossing my fingers

Carl, this is wonderful news! I wish more stations would do the same thing! Hope it brings positive results!

I am having a hard time not seeing this UID as distinctly asian. I would even go so far as to say Korean descent.

No matter how I try I can't reconcile the original postmortem photo with the image on NAMUS.

Is anyone else having the same reaction?

I see it too. Not so much from the sketches but definitely in the post mortem pictures.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Walker County Sheriff's Department in Huntsville hopes an artist's sketch can help shed some light on a 30-year-old murder case.

The victim in the case was beaten, sexually assaulted, strangled and dumped on the side of the road on Halloween night 1980.

Authorities believe the teen was travelling from Aransas County and locals are trying to identify her.

The victim, believed to be between 14 and 17-years-old, told a waitress on the night she died that she was hitchhiking to visit someone at the Ellis prison near Huntsville, Texas. The teen also said she had family in the Coastal Bend.

The next day her body was found on the side of a road.

When news got to Aransas Pass that this girl could be from this area, community members came together to figure out who she was.

Thanks for putting that up, Surfie.

I'm surprised that they showed the PM photos on TV news. They don't usually do that.

In July 1996 I came across a serial killer named Karl Myers. I live in Oklahoma and this guy happened upon me in my business. My story is quite long, so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong area for this is new to me, but for all these years it rings in my mind what he told me the day I encountered him. He made the statement, "I know how to dismember women", "I can dispose of them easily in the soft sandy in East Texas", "the OSBI will never find all the women at Rocky Point". I ended up being a state witness, testified against Killer Karl Myer but my entire report wasn't allowed in court. He now has two death penalties against him and sits on death row in Oklahoma.. I have lived with his words and have always wondered if he could be responsible for deaths in Texas also......I am now trying to help anyone who needs information on this guy. He told me he was a truck driver and basically what he told me turned out to be true. I am so thankful he spared my life. If you need information on him, I will try to help.

This is one of these cases that is so sad, one because she is still unidentified and two according to the doenetwork.org about the case, when ask was her parents was either worry or looking for her, she say who cares. If I can based a theory here, what if we took her morgue photo and reverse the age of how she may have look as a very young girl and circle that photo to every police station even small ones in small towns, or to each and every school in the state in the US, maybe somebody might remember her, becasue we all at one time or another until we reach high school used to have our school picture taken and if they show that photo around that maybe a teacher or principal might recall a young lady who disappear, and maybe group homes, forster homes . I hope tis is a good idea

The new recon is a pretty good representation. However, I think her chin is depicted as too strong. One of the things that sets her apart is her very small chin.

The tip of the nose doesn't look delicate enough either. That one postmortem photo shows it pretty plainly.

::bump::

The 32nd anniversary of her death recently passed. Hoping this year is the year she gets her name back.
