I was kind of confused about his post, was he implying that Ruthie is his adopted or bio sister?

Not sure but I did tell him to contact the WCSO. I hope it truly is someone he knows then maybe she will have her name and family.

Thanks, I hope he does. Since he posted that pic of him I thought it might be to compare, but he looked a little young if he meant that Ruthie was a twin. If that makes sense...LOL.

Maybe someone should try to contact him, but privately. Would hate for him to be bombarded.

I am still missing something though. I can go to the page but I don't see any comments about possibly being someone's sister.

I was thinking about this a minute ago and I don't know how many people have been to visit someone in prison - I am sure it was a bit different then but probably not a lot in the visitation policy. I have been to both State and Federal prisons to visit people. You cant just show up there. You can only go on certain days at certain times but even if you happened to show up at just the right time on the right day unless that inmate has specifically put your name down on his visitor list and you have to fill out paperwork so prison can check your background to ensure you aren't wanted, a criminal that was involved in a crime with the inmate and all that then you have to have ID and if you are a minor you cant get in without an adult. I had to sign consent forms for my children to visit their dad when their grandma took them. Maybe if you are older 16 or so maybe you can just have the consent form I don't know but anyway before I start rambling on I am now thinking she is on the younger end of the estimate or she would have known that you cant just show up.
Also I was thinking how nobody at the prison claimed to know her. Why deny it? What would they have to lose? They had an airtight alibi so they couldn't be accused of killing her and if it was because of maybe things being said in letters or something well she doesn't have any letters on her and evidently she didn't have much family or at least close and they would have known that. Just my gut feeling is that they truly didn't know her or about her coming.

Here is my gut feeling from when I read this the very first time.
she either had lost whoever was raising her ( mother, grandmother ) and was probably an only child or she had been in some type of state custody such as a girls home and many times in those environments there are things going on they don't want out so they may not report someone missing because it would bring up more questions and bring other issues to light. I think she was looking for the man she thought or was told could be her father that may not have ever knew the mom had been pregnant or some type of relative-

I really wish DNA was as big back then as it is now because I know inmates have to give a sample of their DNA now upon incarceration at least in many states and possibly federal systems so if they had that back then they could cross reference the inmates and employees and possibly hit a match

If you go to the actual FB page on Never Forget Me and look at the pic i posted with the comments you will find it unless it has been deleted. It takes a while to scroll but th thread is there.

Just got an email that Ida Faye Basco was excluded via DNA.

Oh geez, ignore me. Just realized her missing date was 81 and not 80. Need more coffee....
She could be a match for the buckskin girl, though...

I found it. At first I was not sure about this, but he does actually resemble her. I think she would be much older than him, but it's worth reaching out. I'm willing to measage him, but don't want more than one of us to do it. Let me know.
