As far as the hair.. One we can't be sure how long it is.. Two she (like myself) has natural wavy hair from all appearance .. Under good circumstances east Texas humidity plays havoc with curly hair (my family their hand seen my hair fixed in 20 years.. There is NO use it just frizzes ... Under circumstances our JD is in its matted probably got wet from dew that time of year.. Ect .. I'm the late 70 early 80 I think every female in my family had the hairstyle Carl depicts in his recon .. No matter the link the front looked like his pic.. It was popular style for those of us with any natural wave/ curl.. (My family called it the Farrah style) lol
Just my observation on wavy hair in east Texas ..

There's a KG, middle initial A, born in Lubbock on 1 November 1962, which would make her 18 in November 1980.

In fact, her 18th birthday. Which is so creepy and tragic that I sincerely hope this is not the right person.

I went ahead and sent an email to Capt Whitecotton of the Walker County Sheriff and gave him a heads up. Perhaps he can locate her or her potential sisters using their superior resources and methods.

Interesting. Tammy Jo Alexander (Formerly Cali Doe) was born on 2-Nov-1963. 1 year and 1 day after KG.

Looks like I found KG and family online. Alive and well it seems.

I got your info, - her father's obit, which not only lists her, but also her two sisters YG and RG and several other siblings.

So that is good enough to rule her out. Thanks Coonhound.

ETA: Good thing I didn't plaster her photo all over the place. It sure was close though.

That scar looked exactly the same- slight dimple to the right of the corner of the eye. Not sure how you spotted that in a sea of B&W yearbook mugshots.

While we are on the topic, I found a girl a few weeks ago from Eisenhower HS in Houston. She was a freshman in the 1980 book. She also looks pretty close to WCJD. Her hair and the shadow of her hair covers the area where the scar would be, but she has very similar features and she is smiling broadly and wearing dark lipstick.

I located three marriage records for a woman with the same name and same approximate age. That would seem to rule her out.

However, they indicate that she married twice in 1984, to two different men in two different Texas counties nineteen days apart from each other, and three times in less than a year (i.e., between May 84 to Jan 85). She was married on May 11, 1984 to one guy in Harris County, and then again on May 30, 1984 (less than 3 weeks later) to another guy in Chambers County. She married again in January of 1985 in Harris County. And then she married a fourth time on 24 Sep 1999 in Travis County.

That sort of looks suspiciously like identity theft. People don't normally get married twice in a nineteen-day span, or three times in a 8-month span. I don't think it is too far-out of a theory that someone in the prison knew she was dead because of the interviews, and decided to exploit that by stealing her identity for use in fraudulent marriages.

Other than the marriage records, I can't find anything on her. Unfortunately, the 81, 82, and 83 books aren't available to see if she is in those. She isn't on the alumni list in Classmates. Nothing on her in Peoplefinders or Facebook that I can find.

Not sure how you spotted that in a sea of B&W yearbook mugshots.

I use an app on my desktop computer called Virtual Magnifying Glass. It enables me to zoom in on photos with much greater magnification than the browser's zoom capability.

yes-but that chin-lower shape of it-bugged me from the start-especially the lower lipspace to end of chin. I do sculpting-so i'm into that. Regarding twins-we have twins in our family-who do things to not always look identical. Some twins love to look identical-and mess with people-others go out of way not to-shorter hair, diifferent color, style., etc;

I've spent a few days reading this thread and trying to think of a reason she woukd have been at the truck stop.
I'm thinking she hitched a ride with someone and it was not she who was going to the prison. Perhaps her ride was headed there and had told her that. He woke her and told her to get out of the car and took off and she was going to go to the prison to find him to get her stuff from his car.

That's a plausible theory. If this is the case, all visitors from that day and the next should be tracked down and interviewed. Wonder if that's possible?

I doubt they would have visitation records all these years later. That was before we used computers to track and store everything.

Right but maybe the police dept does? I would think they would have copies of the visitor log of that day and the next day. And based on your theory, maybe the cops didn't ask the right questions to these visitors? If the driver who picked up WCJD and took her as far as Huntsville was interviewed, maybe he didn't fess up because he was afraid to become apart of the crime or become a suspect?

police department wouldnt have record of inmate visits. the police dept is local (city or county) and a penitentiary is state.

Police may have the logs as part of their investigation back then is what I think AddysMom is implying.

I love Carl's hitchhiking reconstruction, it looks eerily similar to the side post-mortem photo.

Before mia g came back to the forum, I made a website about WCJD. Would it be all right if I posted the link to it here?
