OT about James Rhoades, but I was po'd about a comment I read on an article about our Ruthie Doe which said "Who cares?" God, that annoyed me so much. I bet if she was their relative, they'd never stop looking. I'm trying not to get upset about idiots like that on the Internet, but man, it's hard when they call searching for a murdered little girl's identity a waste of resources.
She deserves her name and justice! I will NEVER give up on her! Even when she gets her name back, I will NEVER stop searching for her killer! It may seem impossible but I will TRY because I CARE!

She was very pretty, and so sweet and feminine looking. She reminds me of Angelina Jolie when she was little, I'll try to find the picture.

I don't think they were publicly released. I and others have scoured the web for little pieces of info about her. Though I could be wrong, but I feel like I would have found them.

Although obviously we do not know everything..of course. I wonder what her blood type is, lots of people know theirs. If it is rare it could possibly be a point of comparison with a living parent.

A while back on this thread, Mia G posted pictures of the culvert WCJD was found in as well as the surrounding area. From studying the picture, it seems to me that you would have to properly LOOK to see a body in it. I'm having issues attaching the picture but I believe the original post is on pg 13 of this thread.

That is true, she could be adopted or a foster child. My best friend lived with her mom her whole life, until last summer, when her mom died of a brain aneurysm.

Before her death, she had told my friend that her father died. So, after she died, her neighbors were my friend's legal guardians. Come to find out months later, her father is alive in Japan, where she comes from (lived there from ages 1-11). She still lives with her neighbors and is estranged from her father, who her mother left because he was an abusive drunk.

OK, the point of me telling that sad story is: I have to wonder if a similar story happened with Ruthie. Many people have theorized she was visiting her father at Ellis, which is of course possible. People have also suggested her mother died and told her about her father, which I could also believe. The only discrepancy is, how would a girl that young be able to be unnoticed living alone? My friend's mom died on her 14th birthday (it was tragic) but is cared for. Perhaps if Ruthie was being cared for by foster parents, was rebellious and traumatized by a family death, her foster parents would not think too much into it of she disappeared.

Is it possible that WCJD might have grown up in a very small town and could of have been home school thus no record of her in any school system? Is that a national database listing all kids who were home school? Seems to me she could of come from a small town with onlly one school housing all grades from 1-12 and maybe the school close down?

I could see that. When I was ages 2-10 I lived in a small town in Vermont called Swanton, it had roughly 2,000 people, I would say I was from Burlington. Now I could see Ruthie being from a smaller town, but one by Aransas Pass/Rockport which are small, but even smaller.

I get that too. I have lived all over and moved a lot during my childhood (London & France as well as the US) but when I was around 5/6/7/8 I lived in Palmdale, which is a small town North Los Angsles county. A lot of people didnt and still don't know where it is so I just say I lived in LA to save time.

A million times YES. How would someone just driving notice a body in that small culvert? They most likely wouldn't. Of course I am not directly implicating Rhoades...but it's definitely worth looking into IMO.
