IDing resemblances is not my strong suit, but I can't help but hone in on her right eyebrow and the area between her lips and nose (not sure what this is called). They seem very much alike. I'm trying to attach a side by side.

Who would I submit the info to?

That's a pretty big date discrepancy, but there doesn't seem to be much information about her including when she left, so I suppose it's possible. I'm not seeing the resemblance--there's some to the sketch, but not to the PM.

The Wiki article says that she was strangled with pantyhose. Do they know if the pantyhose were the victim's or possibly the killer's? It would be unusual for a woman to wear both panties and pantyhose under jeans, although if she was homeless, it might have just been more convenient to wear them rather than carry them or maybe it was for warmth. Actually in 1980, a lot of women (and men) didn't wear any underwear, either panties or pantyhose, which might be an indication that she had not been away from home for very long.

Probably - assuming any of the info is correct. On some of these I'm beginning to wonder. Just for Tamera there are so many discrepancies. Namus has no birth date and lists her as 22 - 24. The Charley page says her alias is Morris, but Texas says its Norris (it is Norris). The Doe network says there are dentals but Namus says no. Given all that, you can see why I'm not 100% the scar is on Tamera's left eyebrow. Her parents are long dead, so it could be one of these cases where a friend or relative is guessing. Grrrrrrr..... /rant

I wear tights or pantyhose under my jeans all the time with socks on top for warmth. Don't think it's that unusual. Started doing it in college when I walked to class from my apartment near campus, and I know several of my classmates also did this.

Also, I believe the pantyhose did belong to her. They were found inside her to stop the bleeding from her assault. If they belonged to the killer, I doubt they would leave them at the crime scene.

Of course, a guy could have had some pantyhose laying around for whatever reason. I think there's almost no chance that the killer was a woman. I can only think of four cases where a woman, as lead protagonist, attacked a victim's genitals and the only instance I can think of where the victim was also female was in the Sylvia Likens (age 16) murder by Gertrude Baniszewski. Jeannace Freeman, Mary Bell and Lois Jurgens sexually mutilated little boys (3-6 years old) before or after killing them.

It would certainly be worth investigating and straightening out her details. If they're that far off, she could have a match in the database that's being ruled out simply because of mistaken information. We saw that happen with the two girls from Mendocino who were thought to have run away together but had different disappearance dates, and one set of remains was listed as the wrong sex. Even if she's not this Jane Doe, she could be another one.

Perhaps she was killed by an impotent male and his female companion. That would explain the pantyhose (although it is common to wear under jeans in winter/fall), the lack of semen, and perhaps the oddly placed bite mark.

I just can't see this as being a primarily female crime. I think it could have been similar in nature to Alyssa Owen from Boonville, MO's death--sexual in nature, strangled, and assaulted by both male and female perpetrators working together.

NamUs never lists DOB. I don't know why someone listed her age like that when her DOB is known. If you have time, call her team to ask about dentals & DOB. Let them know that NamUs needs fixed. Possible dentals were damaged in storage like Aundria Bowman's. When you find out, send an email to Michael Nance. My opinion is something happened after she left. If she was pregnant, possible she had an abortion that went bad. Could have also drown if swimming; whoever was with her freaked.

I'm not seeing WCJD in the PM photos nor the recon & Tamera would be way too old.

With Kerry, her photo looked like the female computer recon as well as shared features with the male recon. I had a feeling her date was wrong. There wasn't much info known about Kerry when we first saw her. Carl went to work looking for class photos so that we could narrow down the date better, just like he did for Tammy Alexander.

With adult women, it's often difficult to tell anything between 20 and 60--from when the body matures to when wear and tear and arthritis start to set in. It's usually pretty definitive between a still-adolescent and a fully grown woman.

This would be another good explanation not involving a female perp.

I know some people think she was killed by one female, due to lack of semen. Which very well could be the case. IMO though it was probably one depraved male.

My speculations, keeping what everyone already knows closer to the bottom:

All of the composites suggest that she had one Hispanic parent and one white parent.

I'm not afraid to speculate that she was Catholic, especially if the above is true. She likely has a baptism record in the Corpus Christi Archdiocese archives.

The man she was seeking to visit at Ellis could have been her father, brother or uncle. They did not tell investigators who she was for fear that it might come back and get the mother in trouble somehow. The person she was seeking to visit was likely due to be released around that time. Ellis is not a minimum security prison in any sense. It doesn't seem likely that a boyfriend would have been sent there for a short period of time and was about to be released.

She is likely from the Corpus Christi area. If someone asked me where I was from and I didn't particularly want to tell them, I would probably pick a small town within a one hour drive and give them that, but not my actual city. A former co-worker did just the same thing when asked by suspicious people where he's from. He would give them a small town where no one knew who he was. She could also be from another part of southeastern Texas, such as the San Antonio area.

Her home life could not have been pleasant. Alcohol and/or drug use by one or both parents very likely. Overly strict and religious parenting is another possibility, but not as likely.

WCJD was likely 14 1/2 to 16 1/2 at the time of her murder. Adding in a margin of error, she was likely born between January 1, 1964 and December 31, 1966.

I began working out an Excel document listing the most common names for females born in Texas from 1964 to 1966. Without anything to compare it to, I had to conclude it wouldn't be even marginally useful. You can still find the Social Security Administration's information here.

The best chance of finding someone who knew her would be to send out her picture and information to people who graduated from a Corpus Christi area high school from 1982 to 1984, however I'm sure many from the area have already heard about her.
