It’s going to be 6:30pm in about ten minutes....37 years ago you were asking for directions to Ellis Prison Unit....37 years later all of us here on this thread are dedicated to finding out who you are.Who are you? What’s your story?Who is the monster that took your life?We will know...I truly believe someday this case will be cracked.Till then R.I.P....we love you WCJD.

I think someone here has mentioned being dismayed at WCJD after she was embalmed. I have to agree there.

Sorry, not getting what you mean by that? Do you mean dismayed that she was embalmed at all and if so, why?

Someone back in the thread mentioned that they didn't like the post-embalmed appearance and the fact that that photo was all that was available to at least one forensic artist.

That was probably me. The first drawing of her was based on that photo of her after embalming, which badly distorted her features.

37 years. May this year be the year you reclaim your name. You are cared for by so many. ❤️

I should add that in her book Forensic Art and Illustration, Karen T Taylor, (the artist who drew that first pencil sketch of WCJD) showed that image as an example of the shortcomings of working from a post-embalming postmortem photo

Sorry, I know nothing about postmortem photos and composites, so what exactly is inaccurate in the PM photo/sketch? Her face being so puffy? I realize she was beaten so she is swollen, I just didn't know if that was all it was, or if the embalming caused it too.

With regard to the post-embalming mortuary photo (as opposed to the coroner's photo), the flesh of her face is completely flattened out, and her jowls sagged. The smile lines between the nostrils and the corners of their mouth are completely gone, the eyes and lips are usually sewed shut, distorting their natural curves, their hair is usually styled in a manner different from their usual hairstyle, and the mortician's putty often covers over the natural contours. Also, the formaldehyde injected back into their bloodstream puffs up the face in different ways than than blood under normal blood pressure.

With the pre-embalming photos, there are distortions as well, but not as many as you see post-embalming.

I give up on trying to post long well throughout posts using my tablet because they never post before they timeout the page or something.

So as quick as possible: followed Carl's YouTube link up thread, ended up watching Cali/Tammy videos and Andes up on one feasting CarlK's involvement. Don't know how to post YouTube links. Sorry.

End of video narrator talking about finding calis killer and detective
S looking into a prison ministry connection and the truck stop Tammy worked at before she went missing.

Preinternet. Underground runaway assistance prgram gone bad because of a serial killer? Underground assistance prgram as guise for recruiting truck stop prostities? Wasn't really looking for a prison. Code for trying to say she's in the assistance prgram looking for a place to stay. Gets actual directions instead of the response to the code, so goes to the next truck stop? I can't ignore the similarities. One year apart almost to the day. Just like orange socks. Sorry if garbled sick of this tablet.

Would like to know if any witnesses alive who saw our JD get out of blue car and saw the man she was with. They have a suspect/person of interest sketch in calis case. Would like to see what our JD witnesses think of that sketch or if Texas truckstop regulars recognize the sketch.

Really guys. I generally have no imagination so when I come up with something like this, like feedback on whether this is way out there. Makes sense why she didn't follow the directions and went to the next truckstop. Trying to find out if she reached a truckstop that was part of the prison ministries system/ Underground Railroad. Preintnet so used codes?

They are all dead, unfortunately.

I know TX has a large Latino/Latina population, does anyone think WCJD could be latina? I know it really makes no difference or adds anything to this case, going through a lot of Corpus Christi yearbooks I'm seeing a lot of hispanic women.

She definitely looks Hispanic to me. I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet, but could she be Mexican? If she was, an accent would probably have been noted- but perhaps that could be a reason why there are no records of her.

None of the witnesses are known to have reported a foreign accent.

Thanks, Carl! I don't think I had ever realized that one photo was a mortuary photo and the others were coroners. Good to know, I can see what you're talking about now.

Clyde Carl Wilkerson is another possible suspect. He was long haul trucker from Arkansas. He is currently in prison in California for murders that occurred in 1965. He also has plead guilty to a 1975 abduction murder in Tulsa Oklahoma in which the victim was strangled with a ligature and mutilated. He wasn't arrested until 2002.

And such an accent in east Texas at that time would have stood out more as there were very few immigrants in the region in the early 1980s.

Did any of the witnesses report whether WCJD had a dishevelled look or smelled? that would help us figure out how long she'd been on the road.
