Hamons helped his sister move into a residence in the area of Willow Springs and Hicks Road in Tarrant County, Texas in July 1989. His sister was the last person to see Hamons; he disappeared after helping her relocate and has never been heard from again.

I happened to find this online.

Does this mean he was in court in the 2000s? Or does this mean he was MIA pending a possible murder conviction? Or is this a different person altogether?

I am very unfamiliar with legalese. If anyone could help give me some context it would be greatly appreciated.
