Police in Killeen are investigating a missing persons case involving a 16-year-old boy.

The parents of James Johnson III told police that he was last seen at the family's residence on Wednesday, November 11 at 7:30 a.m.

James' mother said he was sleeping when she left, but when she returned at 8:30 p.m. he was not there. His parents say they have not been able to reach him on his cell phone.

James was found deceased. Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with his death.

A judge in Belton on Thursday ordered 36 years in prison for 18-year-old Jonathan Darvalics. He pleaded guilty to murder in the 2009 death of 16-year-old James Johnson III of Killeen.

Victor Villarreal was sentenced to 20 years in a murder plea bargain. Paul Cantu pleaded guilty earlier and in April received 40 years...

The Killeen Daily Herald reports the victim's relatives say he was not affiliated with a gang and was being harassed. Johnson was beaten and strangled.
