Very little info that I can verify. I suspect she was murdered and disposed of while boating. There is a FB post in a missing/unidentified page with photos and additional info but no links. I’m unable to find the sources anywhere. I’m hoping this FB is ok to post. If not please remove.

All the information you linked from FB above is accurate. The information came from the death certificate (inquest dates and final determinations are included), wedding announcements, obituaries, etc. The only discrepancy I found was that Gerrit remarried in 1983.

According the the death certificate, she drowned, but they never found the body. Memorial services were held Oct 01, 1976.

Interestingly, Barbara Ann Fogle and two men also disappeared on Lake Travis in Jun 1976, after Barbara fell off a boat and the two men jumped in to save her. Only Barbara's sister was left alive on the boat.

Lake Travis is rated one of the highest for fatalities in Texas. According to a 2016 article, in the 4 decades previous, nine people drowned who were never found.
