Police are searching for a missing Fort Worth woman who was last seen leaving for a hike in Dallas on Friday.

Jocelyn Nunez, 31, was last seen near the 1600 block of Belzise Terrace in Fort Worth driving a 2019 gray Chevrolet Trax.

Her family said she was going for a hike in Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve in Dallas.

"We got her daughter to track her phone. The last time we got track of her was at that location in the Cedar Ridge area in Cedar Hill," said Nunez's cousin Angel Sanchez.

The family searched the area Sunday.

Nunez is described as a 5'1" woman who weighs 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call or text 817-557-7569 or 682-205-0464.

If she was there, the car should have been found there. It makes me think she could have been there and left. CCTV anywhere near there to see if the car left?IMO

Saw a post from WFAA that her vehicle was found at the intersection of Natures way & Old Settlers way in Dallas. They had a video from their helicopter of it being loaded up onto a tow truck. It looks parked into front of a residence. No sign of her. While there is a park there it looks heavily wooded and no obvious trails for hiking from where the vehicle was.

The family told WFAA that Fort Worth police pinged 31-year-old Jocelyn Nunez’s truck in the 6700 block of Nature’s Way in southwest Dallas, near Highway 408 and Interstate 20.
Nunez’s cousin told WFAA they hike in the area a lot.
SNIPPED
The family is concerned over her whereabouts, and believes she may be in danger because she rarely leaves by herself without checking in with her mother and her daughter.

A body has been found.

A body has been found in a wooded area of southwest Dallas being searched Monday afternoon for a missing Fort Worth woman.

Police were using dogs Monday to search a wooded area in Grady Niblo Park for 31-year-old Jocelyn Nunez when they said they found a body at about 3 p.m. The identity of the remains has not been confirmed and the person's death is currently listed as unexplained.

The news stories say Jocelyn was seen leaving for a hike. But the family says it was odd that she left without telling anyone and they ended up using another phone to track her location which was in the Cedar Ridge area of Dallas County. I think at that point family began to assume she went for a hike at the nature preserve.

But then her car is found in a residential neighborhood, not the preserve where everyone hikes. What made LE then search a heavily wooded area with no hiking trails?

Where her car was towed from is on the other side of interstate 20 from Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve. It's not somewhere you'd park and hike to the preserve. If you're gonna drive to another county to go on a hike, you'd park miles away from where she did, across the highway at the place there are hiking trails.

This is giving me date gone wrong vibes. Or suicide. But again, miles away in the nature preserve there's much more privacy for last moments.

Rest in peace, Jocelyn.

I wonder if we'll hear about cause of death. What a mystery.

There's a stupid winter storm bearing down on the area and the media is bonkers with weather stories.

Bless those who knew and loved Jocelyn.
