Duncanville police are asking for the public’s help finding a 54-year-old woman who was last seen Friday.

Police said a 911 caller reported Juanita Elena Rodriguez missing Monday. She left her home in the 300 block of Charlotte Street on Friday and never came back, police said.

Family members told police that it wasn’t unusual for Rodriguez to leave her home for a few days at a time.

On Tuesday, Duncanville police learned that Rodriguez’s car had been found by Dallas police, and that she didn’t show up for work Monday or Tuesday.

It wasn’t immediately clear where Rodriguez’s car was found.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts may call Duncanville police at 972-223-6111, ext. 4.

This one is a mystery. Just up and disappeared. Not much information at all. Nothing about family or relationships,
who called 9-1-1, any clues from her car found in an adjoining city (Dallas)? I don't feel good about this one.

A Dallas police homicide detective spent most of Thursday afternoon and early evening inside a single-story home on Charlotte street in an area of Duncanville neighbors say is notable for how little happens here.

“This whole street, nothing wrong, it’s normal living,” neighbor Edgar Trejo said.

Trejo said it was not normal to hear gunshots that he described as close by a few days ago.

He doesn’t know if those shots are why Dallas police arrived on his street Thursday but he knows his neighbor, 54-year-old Juanita Rodriguez, is gone.

According to the family her cell phone was answered by another woman, who claimed it had been sold to her. For them it was very strange that Juanita was absent for so long and she did not go to work either.

Dallas PD arrest Clinton Smith for murder of woman found in tarp

Homicide detectives with the Dallas Police Department arrested Clinton Smith. The 65-year-old is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail.

No word yet of if/how the victim knew the suspect.
