Update:

🚨 MISSING POLICE K-9 – STILL NOT LOCATED 🚨

We are urgently asking for the community’s continued help in locating our missing K-9, Hondo, who went missing late Sunday night.

Despite numerous tips and reported sightings, Hondo has still not been found. Our officers have been working tirelessly to bring him home, and we are deeply concerned for his safety.

K-9 Hondo is not just a police dog — he is a highly trained law enforcement partner and a beloved member of the Palestine Police Department. We believe someone may have taken him in without realizing he is a working K-9.

📍 If you have seen Hondo, or have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the Palestine Police Department immediately at 903-729-2254, or reach out directly to Ofc. F. Nino #454 at 903-922-9426.

Please share this post and help us bring Hondo home safely. Your eyes, your voice, and your support make all the difference. Let’s bring our partner back.

Following tonight’s storm, our police K9 Hondo managed to escape after being let out into his handler’s enclosed yard in the Fort Houston addition area of Palestine. (Hondo is not kept outside and was not outside during the storm) We’re asking for the public’s help in locating him.

K9 Hondo is a German Shepard. If you see the K9, contact us immediately at (903)729-2254. He is microchipped.

We appreciate your support in bringing him home safely.

Bumping for Hondo. Hopefully someone has him and just doesn't realize he's missing and he's been loved on and cared for.

I wonder if Hondo was accidentally picked up by a shelter and taken to a foster home, potentially out of state? ):
