Me too.

As a side note, Mineral Wells was small town Texas fifteen years ago (it may of been developed to some extent now as the DFW megalopolis swallows rural areas at a steady rate).

The hungry Megalopolis aside, 15 years ago Mineral Wells was the type of small town where "everybody knows a lot of people". As a result, the 20K reward should have generated some meaningful tips.

But... Mineral Wells is also the type of town where murders are exceedingly rare and serious crime in general is also rare. That can leave a police force inexperienced with felony investigations in general, let alone murder investigations.

Hoping that the family can reach up to Austin. Who knows, maybe the Texas Rangers can ask for, and review the case files if Mineral Wells PD is willing to send them.

I live in the DFW area
Mineral Wells is an hour to the west of Fort Worth, and off the beaten path of the DFW growth extending west along IH20.
Time seems to have stopped in Mineral Wells, is not influenced by population growth of DFW.
