Austin police are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old woman.

The woman was shot and killed early Sunday morning Austin police said.

Police received emergency calls reporting gunfire at an apartment in the 1000 block of West 39 1/2 Street near Shoal Creek Boulevard.

The victim reportedly died at the scene.

Our local news is saying that they are looking for her ex-boyfriend Branden Lee in connection with her murder. Her name is Lindsay but I can't remember her last name?!

Austin police have charged a man in connection with the death of 23-year-old Lindsay Luetkenhoelter.
Brandon Lee Allen, 22, is charged with murder but is not yet in custody.

Luetkenhoelter's body was found at 3:40 a.m. Sunday in an apartment in the 1600 block of 39½ Street, near Shoal Creek Boulevard in Central Austin.

Police say it appears she died from gunshot wounds.

A 22-year-old man, wanted in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend, was taken into custody Monday.

Austin police searched for Branden Lee Allen after the fatal shooting Sunday morning.

It happened at the Shoal Terrace Apartments near 39th Street and Shoal Creek in North Austin.

When police arrived, they found 23-year-old Lindsay Luetkenhoelter with gunshot wounds.
