Kaufman County deputies searching for man reported missing after crash on Highway 175

Deputies say the man was involved in a crash Tuesday on Highway 175 near Jiba Road.

The sheriff’s office said Logan Jacinto was reported missing shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday. Officials said Jacinto had been involved in a crash at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, in which the driver of the crashed vehicle ran away from the scene on foot.

“The policemen said they don’t know how he got out alive that he shouldn’t have made it, he's gotta be seriously injured,” Rosie said. “But the way the witness saw him, he looked like he didn't know where he was and what he was doing and all of a sudden he just starts running.”

Man who went missing after Kaufman car crash found dead in creek, family says

On Sunday, Logan Jacinto's brother found his body in a creek on private property near where the crash happened, his family told WFAA.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The missing man Kaufman County deputies were searching for after a crash on Highway 175 was found dead Sunday, according to his family.

Logan was the breadwinner for his family; family friends are now fundraising to support his wife and two sons, one of whom is currently sick in the hospital.
