I have not been able to find anything indicating this woman was found safely or her remains were ever recovered. If you can, please post such. If not, perhaps her remains have been recovered and not identified at this point. I wasn't sure where to post this thread, but thought this seemed the most applicable.

She went missing from San Antonio, TX, after attending 1976 Stock Show & Rodeo with her husband and daughter. She left the hotel in the morning headed towards other family/friend in hospital around Whitney, TX (outside of Temple); her husband and daughter left separately going back to hometown of Corpus Christi. She did not arrive in Whitney. Her car was found later in a bowling alley parking lot in El Paso, TX.

Her Ancestry profile seems to have her DOD marked as the day she vanished.

A previous married name (I believe) was Coleman. Birth records for her son suggest she also used the name Strickland at some point.

Thanks victoriarobinson62! I did suspect given all of the media over the years on her missing person case that if her remains had been recovered and identified it likely would have made the papers. In one of the articles it speaks about her brother (I believe) being with a police department and helping in navigating different jurisdictions, etc., at the onset of her case.

I'm going to submit her case to Namus. I have another case like that on missing mother and daughter, never recovered, forwarded to multiple namus contacts and it was never put onto the site (at least publicly, I guess ...perhaps there is a more non-public db for some users there ... I do know their remains were not recovered).

Hopefully Ms. Gantz' case will be vetted, accepted and uploaded.
