Circumstances:
Maria was a homemaker she left walking from her residence at 152 Holguin Road in Vinton, Texas walking after an argument with her husband Jon Pahl. Maria was going to take the bus to Anthony, New Mexico go get groceries. Maria left behind (6) small children ranging from 19 years to 11 months old. Maria did not have a driver’s license at the time of her disappearance. Jon filed for divorce from Maria in Nov 1980 and remarried in the summer of 1981. On November 3, 2000 the case was re-opened for investigation the family’s former home was excavated however no evidence was found.

Just came across this case via another case and the haunting phots of her with her family and outside her house.
Doesn't seem to be much info on her case other than the daughter does not believe her father was involved. But I cannot help feeling he married quite soon after she went missing, unless he was actively looking for help with his large family?.

<<Her oldest daughter was in Georgia at the time, and went home to take care of her siblings after Pahl didn't come home. There were six children in the family, one of whom was less than a year old.

Pahl and her family had moved from Florida to El Paso in 1978 and lived in a house in the 100 block of Holguin Road. She didn't have a driver's license at the time of her disappearance. In the years since then, her family has left El Paso.

The police didn't conduct any investigation after Pahl disappeared; they merely filed a missing persons report. The investigation was reopened in 2000, thirty years later, and authorities began looking into the possibility that foul play was involved in her case.>>
