According to court documents, Mary Ellen Ranjel, 46, sent a sexually explicit photograph of a young girl engaged in a sexual act through Facebook messenger to a male friend.

The Abilene Police Department Cybercrimes Unit was alerted to the image by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Ranjel was charged with Promotion of Child Pornography. Her bond was set at $15,000.
