A farmer found the charred remains of Megan Gonzales at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 12000 block of Wisdom Road on the outskirts of San Antonio, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. The remains had appeared to have been there for a couple of days, officials said. The Medical Examiner’s office made a positive identification Friday.
Megan had been reported missing in early November, last seen on Nov 11 in the 100 block of Basswood near West Avenue on November 10th. Eddie Gonzales says his daughter never showed up for work and her phone went silent.
The sheriff noted Gonzales had no ties to the area where she was found. Officials believe she was taken there, possibly after her death.
