GUILTY TX - Michelle Gaiser & Jeffrey Stern charged in murder-for-hire plot, Bellaire, 2010

I've searched the forums and I am not able to find anything related to Jeffrey Stern, Yvonne Stern or Michelle Gaiser. This story was on 20/20.

Michelle Gaiser ordered the hit on her lover's wife, Yvonne Stern. Three attempts and the wife is still alive. Gaiser has confessed to setting up the hits. She has now implicated her lover, Jeffrey Stern, as a complicit accomplice.

Mr. Stern has denied any involvement.

I think their headline of "cleared of murder" isn't exactly true since they will certainly come back and charge him if they find more evidence, right?

I saw this case on Dateline and/or 20/20 and really am up in the air. I'm sure the fact his former girlfriend tried to have him murdered from her prison cell helped his case a lot. I find it incredulous his wife is back with him, but good for them I guess.

Two long years of finger-pointing should have ended Friday when Michelle Gaiser, the former mistress of a Bellaire lawyer at the center of a web of murder-for-hire plots, admitted her guilt in exchange for 20 years in prison...

Gaiser, 39, was expected to testify against her former lover during a trial that was scheduled to begin Friday. Gaiser has admitted she hired several men who unsuccessfully tried to kill Yvonne Stern.

Earlier this week, however, prosecutors dismissed the charges against Jeffrey Stern partly because Gaiser, their star witness, wrote a letter from jail last month that appeared to be an attempt to hire a hitman to kill him.
