Just watched the video and now I’m giggling so hard I can’t stand it. I’m waking up the neighbors cackling over here. Oh my word….she can run fast , but what really slayed me is when she tried to get over the fence …in hand cuffs! I’m dying! She thought she could really do it! And you can see in her body language the mili-second she realizes she’s not going to make it and she’s screwed. Welp, she gave it her best try. I bet Rick Cofer is so pleased with his client this evening!

Perhaps our harried runner wasn't running away as much as she was running to. I would just want to know for sure she didn't have a comprehensive plan and a waiting accomplice with a car.

Regardless, her Olympic sprint just won her the golden rings no doubt. No more field trips without ankle shackles. Shankles.

Pity that.

A woman awaiting trial in the killing of professional cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson tried to run from officers escorting her to a doctor appointment Wednesday, authorities said.

Two corrections officers had taken Kaitlin Armstrong to the appointment and were escorting her back to a patrol vehicle "when she ran," Travis County Sheriff spokeswoman Kristen Dark said.

Armstrong ran more than a block into a neighborhood, but she could be seen by deputies the entire time before she was caught, Dark said.

According to KXAN, the video was recorded in the parking lot of the medical office so if the chase lasted ~10 minutes, then I think she must have made it over that fence (or at least was able to run in a different direction). The guy pursuing her did take a tumble at the moment the video cut out so it would have bought her some time.

Just out of shear entertainment purposes and curiosity reasons, I hope there is more video of them actually apprehending her. I’ll be both fascinated and shocked if she actually made it over the fence in hand cuffs! That’s ballsy! I can barely climb my steps with an arm full of groceries…but she got pretty far up that fence!! I bet she’s been planning and plotting this for awhile. She is very physically fit and truly something else! I can’t wrap my head around this newest development.
