I believe that perhaps now that this case has been elevated to major case status, it may be harder for KA to travel through airports and take flights, but upon doing some research, I was a bit shocked to learn that for domestic flights, names are not routinely checked against any database for warrants, and unless one creates a scene at check-in, tries to stash drugs or weapons or such in their baggage, or unless LE have specifically issued a BOLO for TSA agents to be on the lookout for someone, a person with an outstanding warrant would probably have little risk of flying in America. Airports are far more concerned with keeping terrorists off planes than they are keeping people with warrants off. However, if attempting to fly internationally, the name on the ticket is checked, and a person with an outstanding warrant would be flagged.

By now, I assume it may be a bit riskier for KA to try to fly domestically, and it should be very difficult for her to fly internationally, but as of May 18, the warrant for KA had only been issued in Texas the day before, and no one was looking for her at that time. JMO

Do you think they have alerted TSA with a BOLO bulletin on Kaitlin? I’ve been wondering about that….

I would certainly hope so. I assume they would have for any areas they suspect she may be in or go to, but not sure that they would have shared it nationwide, or how closely a busy TSA agent would look for her in a crowd of travelers.

She can't have a lot of money at her disposal. I don't see her as independently wealthy or having withdrawn a super large amount of cash from the bank. <snip>
She has a BBA degree plus 15 years experience in banking, mortgage loans, and other financial matters, as well as co-owning a business in Texas and being a partner in an overseas business (from her LinkedIn account). I would expect she knew how to move financial resources to wherever she could access them. I don't think she had to run to the ATM for cash like most of us would think to do. MOO

And - a person with all these achievements kills another woman (and own life, too!) for some guy whom she has known for three years, whose cycling career is on decline, who cheats on her and, as it seems, at least in training, puts her down? Especially if she is never found, and has another life abroad - was this dude worth it, killing another human being?

She can't have a lot of money at her disposal. I don't see her as independently wealthy or having withdrawn a super large amount of cash from the bank. This entire case baffles me. Does she know someone who would help her? Would she be inclined to commit suicide? If so, how would she do it? She doesn't have any weapons at her disposal.

I agree with those who say that it doesn't seem premeditated. She has ruined so many lives, to include her own; and, to me, this guy was not worth it. If she had used a rational thought process, she should have broken up with him and let MW have him.

I bet that MW would have tired of him within a year, and they would have broken up. I just don't see Mo staying with this guy when she had so much going for her. By that time, KA would have wondered what she ever saw in him. So sad for all involved.

JMO.
True. Both women were skilled bicyclists, and did so competitively. MW was more established. I can imagine KA felt she was competing for CS, and in danger of losing. He became the prize - as you say, not worth it - certainly not worth MW’s life, nor KA’s eventual loss of freedom when she’s apprehended.

As an aside, I wish I could go back in time and read your second two paragraphs to my own younger self. “Love” can make us lose our minds.

I wonder what her prior romantic relationships were like? We haven't heard about her boyfriend history, have we?

I think another element is a strong motivator here & that is her emotional investment in their brand & financial partnership beyond any romantic feelings for him.

I think her threatening MW to stay away from CS was extraordinarily insecure behavior.

BTW, the Amtrak to Colorado scenario interests me the most. CS should watch his back.

Your observations are very deep. Yes, she is like Jodi Arias. Her insecurities are of a deeper, slightly different, type, and I believe she had fallen hard for CS, though.
However, I do not believe she will be caught. I wish I were wrong.
I'd like to hear what an FBI or USM criminal psychologist has to say about KA's behavior and likely next steps, especially if she could first interview CS, and KA's family or friends. KA found out about the fling in January. And she was seemingly still angry and obsessed in May. Call me crazy (others have) but I think she's still angry. I know it's silly, but I'm a little nervous that she was so close to Vermont and I agree with the Marshall's that she's dangerous.

It has been reported that she has traveled extensively abroad, so yes, she surely has a passport. JMO
She would have to have a current passport, though. They expire. They can also presumably be revoked. Plus, there are many countries that require visas.

This is an older article that I don't recall ever seeing before. It has some quotes from the neighbor (who is also the landlord; he lives in the main house and was renting the apartment above the garage to MW's friend).

The engineer described how he walked into his garage and partially raised his garage door around the time of the shooting.

After doing so, he heard someone running down the stairs that lead to the front door of the property where Mo Wilson was staying.

He then thought he heard a bicycle traveling southbound through the alleyway away from the apartment.

[DH] told The Sun: “I heard somebody leave but I didn’t see anyone with my own eyes.

“I had the sense that a bike was leaving. It was not a motorcycle.

“Maybe it was Armstrong leaving on the bike and she wanted to make it look like a theft.

“I think I would have heard gunshots next door if she was using a 9mm so the shooter must have used a suppressor.

There are a lot of colorful comments from him in the article.

Garage doors make a lot of annoying noise when they are rolled up and rolled down. It may have been a matter of timing that this witness didn't hear the shot.
And KA could have used a pillow to snuff the sound?

I was referring to this:

Now, authorities fear she may have left the country after being spotted atNew Jersey's Newark International Airport four days later, on May 18, one day after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

But did Armstrong board a flight, or was it all a ruse to throw police off her trail?

We've still been unable to locate a flight that was under the name of Kaitlin Armstrong,” Deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Filla told Inside Edition, also noting authorities were, “Looking at video surveillance, trying to narrow down Kaitlin Armstrong amongst thousands of visitors that come in and out of that airport on a daily basis.”

*BOLDED RED SEEMS TO IMPLY THEY ARE STILL LOOKING *

KA could have just taken a shuttle from Newark to JFK.

Interesting how many countries don’t require visas for “powerful” passports

Here are the most powerful

Nr 1 are Japan and Singapore (199 countries…)
Nr 2 South Korea and Germany
Nr 3 Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain
Nr 4 Austria, Denmark, Netherlands and Sweden
Nr 5 France UK
Nr 6 US, Belgium, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland.

<modsnip: Personalizing is not allowed> Murder is never a rational decision. People who are superficially rational can be motivated to violence by deeply held emotions and mental delusions, especially when it involves someone they are deeply attached to. People don't become deeply attached to other people based on superficial, rational considerations.

I really dislike the media calling this a "love triangle."

The victim, Moriah, trusted a selfish man- who didn't care who he hurt- for only a short time. He clearly lies to women to use them, for his own ego. She was blameless, innocent.
I agree. And he could very well have been feeding her (the victim) a line about his other relationship, such as “we’re basically just roommates at this point”.

Per the Colorado theory, as a former resident of Breckenridge, if she had any sort of contact with a remote residence say between Copper Mtn and Leadville as an example, it seems like a place she could hide for a while. Utah or any state out West, same possibility. This scenario may be she has "help" with "shelter". I kinda of lean that way in that it has been 3 weeks. AMOO

I have been thinking about the private car thing. Another possibility to consider is that there are a lot of illegal taxis/car service drivers hanging around Penn Station, Grand Central Station and other places in New York where they aggressively ask people if they need a ride. This would be an easy way for her to get a ride from somebody in an unmarked taxi, some of them just look like black cars. That ride would definitely not be tracked. If this was what she did, the question becomes how do they know this? They must've had some surveillance video from outside the terminal. Otherwise we're back to a potential accomplice she used to get a ride from somebody in an unmarked taxi, who turned in a tip. I suppose it's possible that one of these jitney drivers turned her in but that's low probability given they want to say under the radar.

I’m also wondering who will help her when her money runs out. She obviously can’t use her own bank or credit cards, and did she really withdraw enough cash to continue on and on without help? She can’t sell her properties or receive those monies without a huge rigmarole.

Yes, she can work, but that’s risky and problematic too because she’s the subject of an international manhunt. Was she thinking clearly when she set herself up for a hand-to-mouth existence?
