I just heard about this horrible story just today. Patti McHugh was in ICU since the beating she suffered from her husband. They pulled the life support and she died very early this morning. I hope this man rots where ever he ends up!!

An assault charge was dropped against Kelly Gage Monday and replaced with a new indictment accusing the man of murdering his wife...

Prosecutors did not elaborate Monday on what changed in the case to allow for a murder indictment. District Attorney Matt Bingham simply noted that his office had the right to present any case to a grand jury at any time within the applicable statute of limitations...

Gage faces up to life in prison if convicted of McHugh's murder.

A man accused of killing his wife in Smith County accepted a plea deal on Wednesday.

According to judicial records, Kelly Kevin Gage, 52, of Gun Barrel City, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
