Still No Clues: Three year search continues for missing woman

The family of Ramiro “Kimberly” Avila is not giving up the search for information surrounding the woman’s disappearance three years ago Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Detective Melissa Gonzalez confirmed the department is still investigating the matter as a missing persons case and emphasized Avila has been a “priority since the beginning.”

It has been seven years since Kimberly Avila disappeared from downtown Brownsville, Texas, and her family is still desperately seeking answers.

Kimberly was last seen in May 2017, and despite numerous efforts by law enforcement and her family, her whereabouts remain unknown.

Tuesday marked Avila’s 37th birthday. Her family used that day as a chance to reach out to the community to ask for help.

"It's her fifth birthday without us, and it's as hard as day one," the family said. “We continue to tell the community - if there's someone out there… there's a $10,000 reward. You don't have to give a name, you don't have to be specific - just if you have any information, we please beg you, just call."
