Thank God the maintenance man noticed the little girl near the swimming pool. Seems to me this case was just a few steps away from ending much more tragically. Hopefully the courts and CPS will do right by these children. MOO

What is with people leaving their littles home alone!! The description of how filthy these poor kids were makes me want to scream. Filthy, covered in lice, no food. One of them is currently 7 months pregnant!!! FFS stop having babies!!
I’m so glad the maintenance man saw that baby by the pool. Even happier that he called the police instead of just letting the older child bring the baby home. That maintenance man is a hero in my book.

According to investigators, Padilla-Hernandez's 1-year-old son was found confined to a crib. The boy, who has special needs, was so hungry that he resorted to eating his own excrement.

Some of the children — ages 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9 — were allegedly covered in filth and lice.

Padilla-Hernandez returned to the scene while officers were still at the complex. KPRC reports that she said she'd been out “doing her taxes.” Molina, who KPRC reports is seven months pregnant, was not at the scene.
