Volunteers with Texas EquuSearch are searching for a 31-year-old Vietnamese man who disappeared last week under "strange circumstances" from downtown Houston.

Rich Kim, of Houston, was last seen on Friday, Dec. 27 in downtown Houston.

Kim, who has a dimple on the right side of his face, was possibly wearing black pants and a white button-down, long-sleeved, plaid-styled dress shirt when he disappeared. Kim has straight black hair, is 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs about 150 pounds.

I still don't know what the unusual circumstances are. Unless its leaving from work on foot and turning off his cell phone and leaving his car behind. But that's not that unusual.

According to his Linkedin, he worked for Energy Transfer which is located at 1300 Main St. LE responded to the 1000 block of Commerce Street which is almost a mile away and there are numerous parking garages in between. Curious, if that is indeed him... MOO

To us it is easy to see a probable suicide, but to his family and coworkers this may have seemed totally out of character with 0 indication of trouble. Perhaps he went to work that morning, then abruptly left, leaving everyone perplexed, or they have him on CCTV parking and just walking off, which would be unusual.
I feel for his loved ones. RIP

Kim’s body was found a week later when a pedestrian reported a corpse floating in the bayou around 10 a.m. on the northside of downtown.

The cause of Kim’s death is still under investigation, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
