I was having a hard time finding information on him. His birthdate is August 23, 1950 and I found yearbook photos I’m pretty sure are of him. I found who I thought his family was but there wasn’t much about him. He’s not even mentioned in his mother’s obituary, a year prior to his disappearance. I finally came across a public tree with a notation from the owner on his birth entry: Cuz said "He was adopted". That makes sense to me after researching ETA: but would an adoptee be listed in the Texas Birth Index like that? I honestly don’t know much about adoption records. Has anyone else searched for anything?

His name at birth was Earnest Brown. "Ernie" and four of his siblings were adopted from the DePelchin Faith Home in Houston, TX to four different families (2 brothers & 2 sisters, with the sisters kept together). His daughter has been searching for him since 1996 and living relatives from his adoptive and biological families don't know his whereabouts. An ex-girlfriend told Richard's daughter in 2017 that she heard a rumor that he had "been shot & killed in Houston". However, was unable to give a guesstimate on the year.

This is the only thread we have for this case. I have reinstated a post by texmex15 that had been removed pending approval as a Verified member.

Unfortunately some cases don't get as much traction as others due to there not being as much information publicly available. Hopefully @texmex15 will come back soon to continue discussion.

Thank you for putting that valuable bit of information back up. So so important to have it
