Not a kidnapping, no charges to be filed. Sounds like she was being disciplined by the family (was out somewhere or with someone she shouldn't be)? There's a fine line between that and abuse, of course, but it does appear that LE is satisfied that she's safe and no harm has come to her.

My son turns 12 soon and I am dreading the teenage years.

The witness was thankfully very observant! I hope this girl is found quickly and is alright.

I totally agree that the witness was very aware of the surroundings and able to recognize the crime and report it. I wonder though why is it that no one, parents, guardian has not reported this child missing? It is heartbreaking to think that this young girl may be holding on to some loved one reporting her missing and as of yet that isn't the case?? Prayers for this child..
