TY for the update. I wish there was more info regarding Stephanie's disappearance and discovery. It always seemed odd to me that she disappeared after supposedly being dropped off at the bus station. Who dropped her off? Where was she planning to go? I wonder where her remains were located and whether "several bags" were found with or near her remains. I guess we might never know more than we do now.

Rest in peace, Stephanie.:(

I believe that details of a 2017 report of Stephanie going missing in Texarkana, AR are being mixed up with the details from her actual last known location in Houston in August 2018 at the Legacy Inn in the vicinity of 59 and Tidwell Road.

The photos of her tattoos are almost certainly police photos associated with an arrest and profile, most likely as a habitual offender - it's not hard to speculate for what. She was probably working out of the Legacy Inn. Sadly, between the likely criminal history and the previous missing/found safe incident I doubt her case was much of a priority for law enforcement.

Perhaps this thread will attract the attention of whatever loved one was concerned enough in 2017 to report her missing from the bus station in Texarkana and they might become verified and get some additional details on the record - or maybe nobody really cared. Either way it's worth it to me to at least clarify that she was last seen at the Legacy Inn not the Greyhound station.

Stephanie's family still does not believe she has been found deceased and continues to hold out hope that she will be found. Despite this, her case has been closed and marked as resolved. A sad ending.

Well if they don’t believe it, I’d think they’d just need to submit a DNA sample. In this day and age, no need to hold out hope when they can find out for certain. MOO
