The race or gender of the body could not be determined at this time because it was so decomposed.

It is definately not a child, it is an adult.

It was discovered by a groundskeeper cutting the grass.

The body will be sent to Southwest Forensics in Dallas for an autopsy.

He did notice that the hair on the body's head was short, indicating it may have been a man.

The He as reported as having said this was referred to as the owner of the property, but in this article it states the owner of the property was using a brushhog to cut the field if you watch the interview at the top link IMHO it wasn't the owner cutting the field. Not important but just wanted to note that discrepancy.
