Reese Louise Myers was booked into the Bell County Jail Monday on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child.

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - A Killeen woman was arrested after police found her 16-month-old child left unattended in an apartment while the woman was in San Antonio to meet a guy she met on Hinge, an affidavit alleges.

The incident in question dates back to the middle of this past summer; the defendant was finally arrested near the small city of Barstow in the Inland Empire region of Southern California on a fugitive warrant earlier this month. She just made her way back to Texas this week.

Arrest records in California indicate that the defendant was apprehended somewhere within the vast Fort Irwin Army Base approximately 1,365 miles away from Killeen.

Myers was released from custody in California on Tuesday and subsequently arrested by the Killeen Police Department on the same day.
