On February 23, 2019, Kyle PD received a missing persons report on: Yuridia Anaya Espinosa, Hispanic Female, 33 YOA, resident of Kyle.
Shortly after the missing persons report Ms. Espinoza’s vehicle was located in the El Roy community of Travis County. Kyle PD continued their investigation aided by the Texas Rangers.
The investigative leads lead to a suspect who resided in Bastrop County so the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office joined the investigation. On the morning of March 25, 2019, Tomas Sanchez-Solorzano, Hispanic Male 34, YOA an illegal Alien from Guenajuato, Mexico was arrested by the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office for unrelated traffic charges. A search warrant was executed by Kyle PD, the Bastrop Sheriff’s Office and ICE Agents, on Sanchez-Solorzano’s residence, near Elgin at 110 Camino De Agua Rd. Due to the developing information the Bastrop Sheriff’s Office became the lead agency in the investigation.
Later in the day a grave site was located off the Lower Elgin Road in Bastrop County. On Tuesday Morning, March 26, 2019, the body in the grave was confirmed as the missing female, Yuridia Anaya Espinoza.
Tomas Sanchez-Solorzano, was charged with Murder, and is being held in the Bastrop Country Jail under a $500,000.00 bond and an ICE detainer.
Kyle PD’s perseverance produced the necessary law enforcement cooperation that helped solve this case yet, all of the agencies involved in this investigation are to be commended for their efforts in solving this crime.
