I believe you have to appeal within 21 days after sentencing, so if he is going to try that we'll probably hear within the next few weeks? Do you think there's any chance he will? Would it be Lord Matthews again that he would go before?

Oh nevermind, I forgot that it goes to a panel of judges.

If he does,I bet it will be at the very final hour

Good points. How closely and medically monitored will he be? Likely to be more now in Polmont than where goes at 18yrs?
He'll be moved into the adult system at age 21, and from then on in the emphasis is on containment and risk management rather than rehabilitation. So he would need to take advantage of the help that's offered to juveniles quickly over the next five years if he's to have any chance of turning out normal. And, frankly, like the judge I already think its too late. Maybe if he'd been caught at the age of ten, but he's too old now.
