Sir Mick Jagger's family is at the centre of a desperate search for his granddaughter Assisi Jackson's long-term partner, who has gone missing in Cornwall.

Alexander Key, a 37-year-old chef, who has two children with Assisi, 33, was last seen in Boscastle last Friday afternoon.

He was reported missing to Devon and Cornwall Police on Saturday evening, prompting an urgent public appeal.

This morning, Assisi's mother, jewellery designer Jade Jagger, 54, took to social media to share the police appeal with her followers, posting images of Alexander.

Sorry that should be 2026 not 2025!

''The chef was last seen at 2.20pm on Friday in a local Boscastle pub. Devon and Cornwall Police said he was reported missing on Saturday evening and that officers were "growing increasingly concerned" for his welfare.

Ms Jackson's mother, Jade Jagger, 54, shared the police appeal on social media on Monday morning, including the CCTV image provided by police of Mr Key. He is described by police as being of medium build with distinctive bright peroxide blonde hair and is normally seen wearing bright-coloured clothing.''

''The couple live in Cornwall, where they are raising their two young daughters, Ezra, 11, and Romy, six. Mr Key owns The Rocket Store, a popular seafood bar and restaurant in Boscastle, alongside chef Freddie Woodruff.''

''Alex: I grew up in Boscastle – we have a farm just outside the village… and I managed to convince Fred that Boscastle was a viable option! It’s a beautiful village and there is a lovely community here.'

''UJ: Anything else not to miss in Boscastle?

Alex: Post lunch, a walk in the harbour followed by a swim. The perfect afternoon!''

Devon & Cornwall Police turned off the comments on their Facebook appeal yesterday (Sunday 25 Jan) "due to a small number of incredibly ill-judged and unwanted comments". I'd been following Alex's case there, but didn't see any such comments.

I wonder if Alex was anywhere near the sea. I've seen some footage of pretty spectacular waves in Torquay the day after he was last seen.

Boscastle is a sea harbour. You can walk up to high points overlooking the sea within minutes, been there many times. Very beautiful and can be wild as it’s the Atlantic Ocean, I imagine the recent weather has been quite dramatic.

The water can definitely get wild in Boscastle - the 2004 flood being the most obvious example
