If I remember rightly, Alfred's dog was found alive and was being cared for. I think Austria was the location that was mentioned.

The way you say this ,makes it seem less last week and more cold case. At this point I am kinda concerned that the dog is of the utmost importance , This is a fresh missing person case and if he was found dead and his dog wasnt ,- I need some facts. The most important being , who was caring for the dog? or maybe not the most important ,but worthy of investigation!
