Asif Afzal, 25, was last seen by family at 10:00hrs at his home address in East Ham.
Asif usually frequents a gym in High Street North E12 but it is confirmed that he has not attended.
He was last wearing a baggy black coat, grey joggers, black trainers and a black backpack.
Police and Asif's family have issued appeals for information on social media but at this time his whereabouts remain unknown.
Concern for his welfare is growing and he is urged to contact family or an acquaintance and let them know he is safe.
