I have never been on jury service, but these guys may need to plan for missing a LOT more time as this has a long time still to run. They are already a week behind due to all the stoppages.

Hi, been lurking following the case here for a couple of weeks, I remembered seeing the original missing posts as I'm fairly local, and I just couldn't get the story out of my head, looked on Google and ended up here. I can't believe how badly Bernadette has been let down through the whole investigation.

I've never been active on these forums before, but I have a chance to potentially go to the court on Tuesday as I'm nearby (though I may not be able stay the whole day, I'd have to leave before 3pm) although I'm pretty anxious at the thought - is there anywhere to read about the rules for being in court/what happens in a public gallery etc? As in a step-by-step of 'this is what you say when you turn up' and 'this is what you can and can't do in the court'? Thank you for the members who've already been and reported back.

I’ve just heard back from the detective - they’re not sitting at all on Monday. She doesn’t know about Tuesday yet but will let me know. I can go Tuesday and Wednesday but can’t do Thursday so if anyone else can that would be great. @peachyleo its nothing to worry about - everyone is really helpful and welcoming. Just no phones in court.

He was a locksmith as stated in his HIH Maintenance

Perhaps thats why he had to go to lockup - to get specialist tools? Also if he was skilled locksmith if he knew of any abandoned locked buildings in the area??
That was my thoughts. Did he still have all of his locksmith gear at the lock up. He also did fences and gates.

Thank you for the wonderful reporting guys! I’ve had to skip a few days Covid arrived.

If BW was taken to the fens, it really isn’t a surprise, even with the data the police have that she hasn’t been found.

Hope you're feeling better!

Is there any chance court is not sitting due to something happening to one of the defendants? Illness or harm? Also if that was the case would it be reported at all?

it was reported they are adjourned for legal council. This is not regular half way through a cross examination. It would be if a plea is changed, new evidence affecting the charges was to be introduced, there’s an irregularity that could affect the validity of the verdict or they want a witness or evidence omitted at a very late stage.

it rarely happens and would signify something major. They aren’t sitting Monday either, so this case is already a week behind two weeks in!

This is gunna be a longgg weekend having to wait til Monday to hear new info lol.

On a different note, yesterday we had a massive amounts of Earthquakes over here in California, coincidentally the town is named Walker and I just find it so crazy on the day he finally starts to crack we literally have earthquakes that are moving mountains in a town with the same name as them!! There was literally like 20+ earthquakes.

Are you native to California or UK expat? This case should have higher profile in the UK. Can't understand why the media here is so disinterested.

they’re not sitting Monday either, so nothing until Tuesday I’m afraid. We have just had the most mental rainstorm here, like full on biblical level with every road a river.

DBM - why are posts so easily duplicated on this site?

Maybe best that there not sitting Monday. Half the jurors would have hangovers from the England v Italy final on Sunday!

Born and raised here in the Central Valley of California lol. But I'd love to go there one day. I thought it was pretty obvious I was from US! That's why it was so hard for me to map bc everyone over there has the craziest terminology for how to identify places!

I came to WebSleuths originally bc I have a friend missing for 10 years now(Karissa Schell) but I feel I've exhausted all my routes I can go for her case so I've stuck around mainly to look through the unidentified persons in hopes to find her. I think I will always carry this guilt that I didn't do more for her and thats what attracts me to these types of cases.

Perhaps some of us can look at the Karissa Schell case. Is there a thread link?

I've pointed to Hill House Farm east of Newborough where he did the fencing job on his business facebook page. He'd have to drive passed an occupied cottage to get to the old buildings and rough ground there. Being an urbexer, he will have explored those buildings when he did that job. How many other jobs like that did he do? It did cross my mind that he might have built the gate and fence for the telecoms mast field but that would be too much of a conincidence.

i wouldn’t have thought so for the mast field as that’s a top professional job probably given to their outsourced specialist team. He’s a fencer with a dodgy back and maybe some old tools, that’s a pretty heavy duty fence looking at google street view.

Your shout for that farm could be a good one. Now I know he headed out that way after picking her up (thanks to Helen, still not reported in media who appear to have given up on this case!), it does change the case considerably. That means those 410 steps are when it happened. It gives us an entirely different crime scene, and also makes a mockery of his story and subsequent evidence (the bag being at the lockup for example)
