Bernard Ross, who was a director of Uefa, has not been seen since leaving his Oxford home on October 18. Cops suspect the 51-year-old, who suffers from bipolar disorder, has travelled to the south of France or Switzerland and are liaising with Interpol. His wife said he lost his job with Uefa last year, before being diagnosed with the condition in January - which saw him spend six months in hospital.

Jacinta, his wife, said the family were "intensely worried" as they know he is "not well" and has never disappeared like this before. She was told by police - who are liaising with Interpol - that they suspect he entered France via Calais and then traveled south.

Ross, 51, left his home in Oxford, UK, on October 18th, telling family he was going to visit his sister in London, but he never arrived and has not been seen since.

The missing man's wife said it was possible that her husband was in Nyon – where Uefa is based – or around the St Cergue area where the family lived half the year for 11 years.

Bernard Ross, aged 51, is believed to have travelled from Oxford to the south of France on 18 October.

Officers working on the missing person investigation, have received a possible sighting of Bernard in Nyon, Switzerland, at around 9.40pm to 9.50pm local time on Friday (Dec 8). It's also believed he has been sighted in Prangins, Switzerland.

Bernard is described as 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, he is a fluent French speaker and is believed he may have been using a bicycle to travel around.

He is believed to have been travelling on foot on Friday.
