I hope they can pin this on at least one of them. I hope it will not be a case of two or more pointing the finger at others causing doubt as to who commited the murder.

A body found in a lock-up garage in New Malden, southwest London, was identified as that of missing oil executive Carole Waugh, the Scotland Yard said Friday.


Follow @NBCNewsWorld Waugh, 50, who had previously worked in the oil industry in London and Libya, had not been seen by family or friends since April, when they discussed a planned 50th birthday party for her in June.

Police investigating the death of oil executive Carole Waugh have made two further arrests.

A 55-year-old man and another aged 39 were arrested in central London on Monday in connection with conspiracy to commit fraud, Scotland Yard said. Both were bailed to a date in early September pending further inquiries.

Three women have pleaded not guilty to impersonating murdered wealthy oil executive Carole Waugh to go on a shopping spree for designer handbags and perfume.

Elaine Perkins, 51, Deborah Burke, 49 and Susan O'Shea, 61, all deny committing fraud by pretending to be Waugh. She was reported missing from her home in Marylebone, central London on 7 May 2012 and had not been seen since mid-April.

Trial of two men accused of Carol's murder has begun. Prosecutors accuse them of killing her purely to gain access to her money and to avoid repaying a £40,000 debt. Carol was stabbed in the neck and dumped in the boot of her car. Gold kruggerrands were among the items purchased with her stolen money.

They appear in Bob's case too.

A very interesting article that answers some questions I had.

It was through one such site that she met Bhayani, a married father of two with a dangerously out-of-control gambling addiction. She lent him £40,000 in February 2011 and paid him £12,000 to receive treatment for his gambling.

Waugh, it appeared, had started to become difficult, demanding that Bhayani returned more than £40,000 he owed her. On the night of the 16-17 April 2012, he killed her in her Marylebone flat, later recruiting a homeless man to buy "the biggest holdall you can find" in order to hide her lifeless body.

She knew her killer quite well beforehand.

Police investigating her death discovered a life she kept secret: single and somewhat lonely, she had worked as a part-time escort, calling herself PoshTottyFun.

There was truth to rumours of her working as an escort.

Previously, Julie Witham, 47, admitted to impersonating Waugh, and was sentenced to 140 hours' unpaid work. Three other alleged impersonators await trial.

A convicted killer serving a life sentence for the murder of a County Durham woman has had a bid to clear his name quashed.

Rakesh Bhayani, 42, of Wembley, was convicted in 2013 of the murder of Haswell-born Carole Waugh at her home in central London.
