A member of a local angling society has died in the grounds of a castle in Kent, allegedly after yobs threw rocks at people fishing on its private lake.

Police said that the man, aged about 70, may have been in an altercation with youths. He had spent the morning stocking the lake at Lullingstone Castle with rainbow trout.

Residents said that he was one of three men, understood to be brothers, who were pelted with rocks from the bank. It is not clear whether the victim was struck or subsequently became ill.

Seems this case was dropped in the end,
the post mortem showed he died if a heart attack and there’s insufficient evidence to prosecute the teenagers involved. No further action to be taken by police or coroner. Case closed:

That is disgraceful! He was attacked and harassed by those 2 young gypsy men!

Can they not be charged with the lesser charge of manslaughter? At the very least, they surely should be arrested and charged with "actual bodily harm" for the stone throwing and "harassment with intent to cause alarm and distress"?

Out justice system is broken. The police don't care or are too frightened to act.
It makes my blood boil with anger.

MOO .
