Man arrested after Chop Gate bones discovery remains on bail

A man arrested after human bones were discovered near Stokesley remains on police bail.

As part of the joint investigation between the police force and the Ministry of Defence Police, a 72-year-old man from the York area was subsequently arrested.

He was interviewed as part of the investigation although police would not confirm the suspected offence he had been arrested for.

Six months later and he remains on conditional police bail.
