APPEAL | Have you seen Daniel?

A search and rescue operation has been launched in the Snowdonia area following growing concerns for the 26-year-old who is currently missing.

It is believed he went walking somewhere in the area of Tryfan, Tregarth or Llanberis yesterday (Sunday, August 6th) after parking his car in the area.

Daniel is described as being around 5ft7 in height, of a slim build with brown eyes, dark brown bushy hair with a beard and a moustache.

He is believed to be wearing a dark blue puffer jacket and was last spoken to at around 11am yesterday.

Anyone who has seen Daniel in the area of Tryfan/Tregarth/ Llanberis or the wider Snowdonia areas, or anyone who has seen a silver Ford Fiesta parked nearby, with registration YP62 LBU, is urged to contact us as a matter of urgency.

UPDATE | As part of the search and rescue operation underway in Snowdonia to help find Daniel, we have this evening located his vehicle in the Bethesda area.

An active search is continuing in the Carneddau mountain range tonight, with assistance from mountain rescue teams and aerial support, to locate the missing 26-year-old.

Officers and Rescue members who were looking for a walker by the name of Daniel have found a man's body in the Carneddau (Monday, August 7).
The body has not been formally known yet; that’s why Daniel’s family have been informed and are being updated as further investigations continue.

Officers and the Mountain Rescue Team colleagues searching for missing walker Daniel have sadly discovered the body of a man last night (Monday August 7th) in the Carneddau area.

Formal identification is yet to take place; however, Daniel’s family have been informed and are being kept up to date whilst enquiries are ongoing.
