A multi-force search operation is underway to trace a missing Essex man believed to be in Edinburgh.

Officers from Essex Police and Police Scotland have banded together to find David Hill, who vanished from his home in Grays. Inquiries have suggested that the 55-year-old may have made a 387-mile journey to the Scottish capital.

David is described as 5ft 7in tall with dark hair and a beard. Officers believe he may be wearing ash-coloured chinos, a black jacket, a backpack and red and black Nike Air trainers.

Anybody with any information on David's whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101.

CAN you help find David Hill who’s missing from Grays?

David was last seen on Tuesday 13 September and we’re concerned for his welfare as he hasn’t been in touch with anyone since.



Police have carried out extensive enquiries to try to find him but they are now asking for the public’s help to find David.

The 55-year-old is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, medium build with grey hair and beard.

When he was last seen he was wearing chinos, black jacket and white and red Nike Air trainers. He may be wearing a hat and carrying a back pack.

David has links to Edinburgh and may have travelled there in the last few days via London.
