Body of missing mum found in shallow back garden grave and detectives think her in-laws may be involved
Police made a shocking discovery in the search for a woman who disappeared 15 years ago when the harrowing investigation leads them to the back garden of the womans brother in law.
The bones of Natalia Doherty, who went missing in 2003 at the age of 50, were found by detectives in 2015.
Police were filmed conducting the investigation into her disappearance across three years, and their findings will be shown in a new episode of 24 Hours In Police Custody, called Shallow Grave.
Natalia was last seen alive in East Sussex on April 15, 2003. She had gone to visit her estranged husband Gerald Doherty at the Regents Arms in Luton, and stayed with him at his brother Daniels home in the same town.
Gerald took his own life in July the same year on the couples wedding anniversary.
In a case reminiscent of a famous storyline from Channel 4 soap Brookside which involved a body underneath a garden patio, detectives unearthed her body under a pile of rubble in the back garden of a house in Luton.
