Investigation launched into deaths of three people in Oldham

"Formal identification is yet to take place but it is believed the bodies of two men - aged 41 and 39 - and a 28-year-old woman were found and sadly pronounced dead at the scene. "

"The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained and forensic examinations to help establish the circumstances are ongoing.

Detectives currently aren't looking to speak to anyone in connection with the incident and are working with the relevant local agencies to ensure there is no wider risk to the public."

If the deaths aren't obvious, I would guess it's not an 'ex partner murderers couple and then takes own life' situation and I'd lean more towards drug overdose MOO

Failsworth house deaths: Police await toxicology results

"A police spokesman said: "Samples have been submitted for toxicology assessment and we await those results."

GMP has routinely referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct as the force had previous contact with those who died."

We get some information here. The 3 dead were a couple James Acton 41, Zoe Hamilton 28, and what appears to be a local homeless man Andrew Smith 31, who they have got 2 know recently and was invited to stay over Christmas.

Very strange....I wonder if it might have been something they ingested. Will be anxious to hear more. Wonder where the children were.

Carbon monoxide poisoning maybe?

Carbon monoxide poisoning maybe?

This was my first thought, but as more information has come to light, it's now changing my idea on this situation. But I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.

There are a few fb comments that suggest the homeless man had a heart of gold so looks to me carbon monoxide poisoning. Interesting having a look around i came across a post of a woman that lit a wood wick yankee candle and her daughter had black mucus coming out her nose and was coughing up black phlegm. Thankfully they put the candle out in time to stop further damage of what they say is carbon monoxide poisoning. It shows there are other sources of carbon monoxide than just a faulty, leak boiler. If this is the case here, i hope the police, fire brigade use this case to highlight the dangers of what is a silent killer.

The coroner should be able to identify carbon monoxide poisoning fairly quickly. The test to measure carboxyhaemoglobin concentration takes minutes and there is also a very obvious cherry pink colour to the deceased skin.
